You need a plan, I'm thinking

I started following a training plan for a 1/2 marathon a couple weeks ago. And its fantastic. I don't usually have a problem finding the motivation to get up and go to the gym. But once there, I sometimes get bored doing the same thing over and over again. Or I think, "Today I'll do weights...I guess." So its been something of a struggle in the last few months. Anyway, this training plan has been great!

It tells me what workout to run or do each day of the week--including the days to take off. I love it! Mondays have been interval training, Tuesday and Wednesday were light days (I usually do weight training on Tuesday) and then a tempo run on Thursday. I take Friday off of the gym--a total bonus after going and going and going all week--and then I do a long run on Saturday.

And I feel great!

I think you're right. Do you know when there's a 5K I can sign up for (early Januaryish?)

I haven't heard of anything, but I'll "keep my ear to the ground" if you will :)
